This auction is for a 2004 Dodge RAM 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 SLT Pickup Truck with 122,500 miles. This RAM truck has never been in an accident and only used for occasional light hauling, never towing. All maintenance/service records are documented and included.
This RAM is equipped with a 5.7 Litre HEMI V8 Magnum engine providing 345 HP @ 5400 rpm. 5-speed automatic transmission. Dual Flowmaster-type exhaust. 20-inch aluminum clad wheels. A newer set of Cooper Discoverer tires with 16,000 miles on them. Steel tube type chrome plated side steps. Spray-on bed liner by Line-X. Painted bumpers. Cloth interior. AM/FM/Cassette/CD audio system. Steering wheel audio controls. Power driver's seat, power windows and door locks. Rear split bench seat. Front fog/driving lights. Manual horizontal sliding rear window. Infinity speaker system.
Condition: A very common issue with most 2004 RAM trucks, as is the case with this one, is extensive rust to the exterior rear quarter panels and tailgate. The rest of the exterior is actually in very good condition, showing only minimal wear with a few rust spots in the usual places. A bold but simple solution may be to just replace the bed itself. The door rocker panels are rusty as well, as seen in the photos. Mechanically, the truck is running well with a brand new battery recently installed. There are a couple of known issues that will need attention. First, the exhaust system will need to be replaced. It's currently not annoyingly loud, but it does need repair. Secondly, the front suspension will need to be checked out for possible repairs. It could be a shock/strut replacement is necessary but that has not been confirmed. A third issue is an intermittent check engine light which codes out to be a gas cap or oxygen sensor issue.
Overall, the truck has been mechanically reliable but is in need of repairs in the above mentioned areas. If you don't mind putting some effort into making the necessary repairs, this is a great opportunity to own a rugged 4x4 RAM to get you through the brutal winter and beyond. And oh yes... this thing's got a Hemi!
