The following is just additional information provided regarding the history of the Crossroads figurine: Master sculptor Arthur Moeller first made this piece in 1955. In 1990, Goebel issued a special edition of "Crossroads" to commemorate the demise of the Berlin Wall. Limited to 20,000 pieces worldwide, it is the same figure except the "Halt" sign on the post is placed at the base of the post as if it had fallen off or been torn down. The third variation is another edition created for the US Military forces and sold through military base exchange stores. This Desert Storm edition was a three-piece set. The figure is the regular production model with the sign on the post, but it has an American and German flag beneath the glaze under the base.
