Dancing Papier-mâché Figures
A pair of Dancing Papier-mâché Figures interacting with each other. Each is adorned with flowing robes with beading, lace and detailed headpieces, all with lacquered finish. The artist decided to make the pair anonymous by making them faceless. The details in the fingers show the intricate work in this piece of art. I believe them to be vintage, but could not find evidence to make certain. The signature is illegible. They are very similar to the Mexican Folk Art Figures, and similar to the Large Female Japanese doll.
