Description

Don't miss this one, do your research!  Rare early 1900's Art Nouveau Portrait Vase - Allegory of France. The vase does not have the “RSTK" stamp/marking but does have the incised AMPHORA AUSTRIA and the press mark 02039 on the bottom. I'm pretty certain it is by Riessner Stellmacher & Kessel and is made of their “ivory porcelain”.

Nikolaus Kannhäuser designed the decoration for the “Allegory of France” in or around 1902-1903 and it was part of a series of other nations allegories. The lady is wear a helmet decorated with a Gallic cockerel which symbolizes France - Allegory of France.

No nicks chips or cracks, the bottom shows some crazing from age as expected.

This is rare, valuable and it is at no reserve - no excuses!
