An early print from Robert Taylor paying tribute to one of the greatest Luftwaffe Aces of WWII – Adolf Galland 

Description

This magnificent rendition of General Adolf Galland leading a swarm of Me109s from his famous JG26 “Schlageter” Fighter Wing, as the head out on an early morning patrol over Pas de Calais, 1941.

Released in 1985 the print has been sold out for many years and isn’t often seen on the secondary market these days.

THE LIMITED EDITION

The print is personally signed by the artists and one of the most highly-respected Luftwaffe pilots of WWII:

General Adolf Galland leads the JG26 fighter Wing ME109’s on an early morning patrol over the Pas de Calais, 1941. Adolf Dolf Josef Ferdinand Galland (19 March 1912- 9 February 1996) was a German Luftwaffe General and flying ace who served throughout the Second World War in Europe. He flew 705 Combat Missions and fought on the Western Front and in the Defense of the Reich. On four occasions, he survived being shot down, and was credited with 104 aerial victories, all of them against the Western Allies.

This is a limited first edition print by Robert Taylor titled Flight of Eagles. Signed by Robert Taylor and Adolf Galland.
