Description

Low mileage 1995 Cadillac Seville SLS - 39,900 miles with a 32 Valve 4.6 Liter 275hp Northstar V-8 and 4T80E 4-speed Automatic Transmission. Car is a pretty Green Metallic with a Tan Leather Interior, the Sun/Moon Roof and Chrome Wheels.

I'll let Cars.com sum up the styling when it first came out: "Without question, the elegantly styled Seville is the sexiest-looking Cadillac ever made. To these eyes, the sleek Seville doesn’t have a bad angle or awkward line."

A beautifully styled car in 1995 that has aged well.

Car is equipped with -  Front Power and Heated Seats, Power Windows, Mirrors, Door Locks, Tilt and Cruise Control. Keyless/Remote Door locks/entry, Remote Gas Filler Door, Trunk Release and AM/FM Cassette Radio. All power/components are in working order unless noted otherwise.

Condition:

Exterior - Body has a few minor nicks/scuffs, but no dents. There is some minor rust in the typical areas, rear dog legs between the rear door and front of the rear wheel well, 1 spot by the driver side tail light. Also a small spot in front of the sunroof and the rear corner of the passenger front door and the bottom edge of the passenger rear door. Also, some minor paint loss/touch-up on the rockers (Looks like the rockers may be galvanized, which would partially explain the adhesion problem.) Chrome grille is in great shape, Chrome Wheels are good with typical wear, no notable rust. There is some brake dust around the edge of a couple wheels, but it comes off with some elbow grease. The top of the rear bumper has a spot of chrome in the center that is peeling away. Passenger taillight is getting some moisture in somewhere, the backup light on that side is not working but all the other lights - taillights, brake and turn signals as well as the headlights etc. are all working. Just a note that the hood struts will hold the hood up, but you need to muscle the hood up more than normal when opening it. Last, on the driver side front there is a small piece of rubber molding and a plastic part that makes up part of the inner wheel well that is missing. (I would have missed it except for when I was cleaning the wheel.

Interior - Interior is nice and clean, back seat area is great, the passenger side is very good - minor wear on the seat, the driver side has the typical wear you see on older leather, but no holes or tears. Carpet is clean, with minor wear/soiling on the driver side. Leather shifter handle shows wear and the ashtray hinge on the left side is loose/broken but still works if you are careful. Trunk is nice and clean and still has the space-saver spare and jack (Note: The keys don't work in the lock, but it has a remote in the glove box.) The driver side front door panel has issues that will be addressed later.

Most of what is mentioned above is minor and somewhat expected on a car 27 years old. It is really a pretty car with potential. Remember it only has 39,900 miles on it, other than oil/fluid changes GM doesn't recommend ANY standard maintenance for this car until 100,000 miles!

That said, while this car was driven by the little old lady (not from Pasadena though...) it does need some TLC/mechanical repairs. Low mileage is good, but those years of short jaunts are not so good for exhaust systems. The mufflers are definitely bad and the exhaust appears original so assume you will need to install a complete exhaust system. Rear tires look pretty new. Front tires are dry rotted and should be replaced especially if you will be doing freeway driving. Tires are Michelin. The HVAC is currently running in Econ mode due to a low freon condition. The air blows slightly cool, but out the floor. This could be related to the Econ mode and/or a setting via the dash display that may need to be reset/changed (I know it is feasible just don't know enough to try it). The driver's front door panel needs some attention or replacement - looks like some clips may be missing or broken including the small panel over the inside door handle and there is a tear by the seam of the armrest. The Traction control currently shows as disabled but is not affecting drivablity. Last but not least - this one puzzles me - on the rear window someone used what appears to be some type of black roofing caulk around the rear window moldings (also black), Not sure why they did that as opposed to silicone etc., but I will give them credit, if it was leaking - it isn't anymore. The car sat out in the rain and I washed it as well I didn't notice any wet areas or detect any mustiness or dampness anywhere.

If you read this far and you have a need for a 2nd car, don't mind getting your hands dirty and have some basic mechanical skills (or a mechanic friend who does), this could be the car for you. Other than 2 tires and exhaust you can drive it as is. Heck you can even get Historical plates!

Bid increments are set @ $25, a reasonable reserve has been set (Lower end of KBB & NADA).
